Crew Nick

Hi guys.

I'm Nick, and I'm one of the new guys here that joined what David likes to call 'The Modmaking Bandwagon'. All that aside, its great to be here with experienced modmakers like Darren and David, and I'm pretty sure it's good for them to have fresh blood here, as I've been modding for 4 years.

I'm prepping up a set of Diablo 2 tutorials, among other things. I'm also thinking of writing reviews for and critiquing the top mods out there: MetalStorm, Neo Dark Ages, Mod Warfare, Red Orchestra, you name it. I may also write tutorials on how to make missions for Starcraft, and Starcraft 2 once it is released.

My current project, Rebirthe, involves reshaping each individual character, and keeping the monsters up to par with them. The mod sports higher realism, intense music, and powerful sounds. Big monsters are less plentiful and have high amounts of health. Small monsters are weak and plentiful. The current version is 0.01 (with 0.03 in the making), and the Druid class is done. You can find more info about it at my Phrozen Keep Thread.

I started modding a while ago for JK2. The bulk of my work was maps and mini mods, like new saber colors. Then, once I bought JK3 (Jedi academy), I started working on maps some more and became pretty good at it. Then it was Diablo 2. It was a little frustrating to start but once I got the hang of it, it was a breeze. And so that leaves me to where I am today, making maps, items, skills - you name it.

Well, I guess that wraps it up for now. I'll have to talk to you guys later. Oh, and there should be a new tutorial out now - Getting Started with Diablo 2 modding.

That's it for now. Later.
